Climbing to New Heights in 2021
2020 was a tough year, with many unexpected hurdles requiring herculean efforts to make personal changes for the greater good. This was no different for us at EMG. After putting our programs on hold for the year, we are excited to get back outside!
Over the last year we have been hard at work to make our programs the best they can be. In addition to receiving a $5,000 UCORE grant from the Governor's office of Outdoor Recreation, some of the highlights include:
Outdoor Together Award
EMG was recognized by the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development at the Outdoor Recreation Summit. The Outdoor Together Award was presented to our leadership for their dedication to our participants that went above and beyond through the COVID-19 pandemic. Through delivering emergency care packages, EMG was able to ease the economic difficulties many of our participant’s families faced.
Black Diamond Partnership
This summer we partnered with Black Diamond as a corporate sponsor. Through this partnership and their generosity, we now have the ability to run a much larger portion of our programming safely outdoors.
Project Climb Summit County
We started a new branch of Project Climb in Park City and surrounding communities.
· LivePCGivePC: Another successful year raising over $4,000!
· Holiday Auction: Our inaugural holiday auction in conjunction with BetterWorld.org raised over $3,000!
With all of the success that we have had in 2020, we are beginning to prepare for another banner year in 2021 and we need your help! With the year coming to a close, your tax-deductible donations are more important than ever. Additionally, federal legislation in the CARES Act has allowed for a $300 above-the-line tax-deduction for charitable gifts, even if you take the standard deduction.
